What does Being in the pursuit of greatness mean?
It means we are always chasing the ever-moving target to bring the best experience we can. Not Your Average Home Improvement Company
If you’re a longtime Maryland homeowner, you’ve probably had roofing, siding or other work done.
At Jackson Home Improvements, our business history has been an exciting one. Our story is populated with close-knit family members, American heroes, and standouts in the community.
We can do a heck of a remodel for you, but we’re also eager to get to know you. We hope you’re curious about us too.
That’s because we’re not just in this to make a living. We’re passionate about exceeding expectations, building long-term client relationships, and celebrating the folks who got us here.
Here’s our story.
Three Generations
Albert J. Jackson began pursuing the American dream as a front-line paratrooper in the Korean War. He eventually met and married a pretty army nurse named Joyce. The union lasted until Albert died in 2007.
Albert must have reasoned that death-defying parachutists would make good roofers. He founded the original company, Albert J. Jackson Inc., in 1967. The Maryland Home Improvement Commission assigned it license number 349.
That may not mean much to you, but it means a great deal to us. MHIC numbers have up to 12 digits these days. Less than a handful of companies with three-digit license numbers are still around.
In other words, the number 349 attests to our longevity in a highly competitive industry. It reflects more than five decades of hard work and commitment to excellence.
Albert set high standards. He took great pride in quality workmanship. He was personally involved with every home improvement project, great or small, from start to finish. His determination to wow his customers resulted in referrals and repeat business. The company has thrived ever since.
Those are big shoes to fill, but the rest of us aspire to Albert’s work ethic and integrity to this day.
Albert’s son Thomas took the reins in 2007. Tom now has more than 50 years’ experience in all aspects of home improvement. Customers appreciate his warm, professional service and attention to detail.
Tom’s son Christopher ushered in the third generation. His tech-savviness and a keen interest in cutting-edge equipment kick our premium services up a notch.
What’s more, Chris’ efforts to better the community have earned the respect of leading professionals.
He’s told the Jackson family story at Nasdaq MarketSite in New York City. He’s been an honored speaker at the New York State Bar Association, the Harvard Club of New York City, and the Harvard Club of Boston.
As for the rest of our team, we employ more than 15 of the finest craftsmen in the industry. Several have put in 10 or more years of outstanding service.
We admit that company outings — like trolling for rockfish — go a long way toward retaining employees. Still, our customers love seeing trusted, familiar faces year after year.
We may evolve along with modern technology, but Jackson Home Improvements will never forget its roots. Hard work, quality materials, and unparalleled service are still the bedrock of this business.
Bragging Rights
If we do a little name dropping, we’ve earned the right. Theme parks, Churches, Schools, government officials, astronauts, secret service agents, and the U.S. Naval Academy have relied on our services.
Building spooky attractions for Six Flags and active-shooter training facilities for SWAT broadened our horizons. Gutter repair and siding work may be considerably less sexy, but we approach them with the same gusto.
We’re proud to use American-made products by the finest manufacturers. Our roofing specialists are factory-certified by Owens Corning and Tamko, makers of the best-looking, most durable shingles in the industry. Painting, bath remodels, window and door replacement, storm damage repair, and commercial solutions are all in a day’s work at Jackson Home Improvements.
Will our pursuit of greatness result in a stunning new deck or kitchen redesign for you? If you can envision it, we can build it.
